    Welcome to ANP Notetakers…

Welcome to the website for the Association of Notetaking Professionals which is the professional body representing Electronic and Manual Notetakers.

We aim to promote Notetaking and its good practice and to support the development of Notetaking as a communication and support service.

Our members are often funded and are all qualified and trained to take notes for people who are D/deaf, deafened, hard of hearing, deafblind people and for people with disabilities – for people who do not take notes for themselves.

Electronic and Manual Notetakers provide accurate notes from a summary to more in a variety of formats and work in a number of settings including professional, conference, community, medical and academic.

If you struggle to hear or take notes a Notetaker could provide the service you need and you may be able to get funding for it.

Students should have a Notetaking service provided in college.

University students are usually eligible for the Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA)

Access To Work (A2W) funding may be available if you are: in a paid job, unemployed and about to start a job, unemployed and about to start a Work Trial, self-employed AND your disability or health condition stops you from being able to do parts of your job.

"There are different types of Notetaker. Look in our Notetaking section to find out more."
